Key cornerstones of the community are mutual respect and having fun. Part of the “fun” in Funambol is recognizing and rewarding community members. The Code Sniper and Phone Sniper community programs are two programs designed to do just this. Funambol maintains a wishlist of additional software components that community members would like. To encourage community members to work on these components, Funambol offers bounties to work on certain projects. Check out the Code Sniper program projects and if interested, let us know and start coding. It’s a great way to learn more about mobile software and to help other community members.
One of Funambol’s greatest strengths is its broad support of many mobile devices, including SyncML, Win Mobile and Java ME-based handsets. The Phone Sniper program rewards community members by offering to pay them to test their mobile devices with Funambol to ensure compatibility.
