JavaOne Conference, SAN FRANCISCO, June 27th 2005 — Funambol, the mobile open source company, today announced an engineering agreement with Nokia to collaborate on ensuring interoperability between Nokia devices and Sync4j, Funambol’s open source mobile application server based on the open standards Open Mobile Alliance Data Synchronization and Device Management (formerly known as the SyncML standard).
Available for download at the Funambol developer website at www.sync4j.org, Sync4j is an open source mobile application server that can be used with any SyncML client on any Nokia mobile device. The application server enables synchronization, application provisioning and device management of mobile devices.
